Gantry Plaza State Park
Gantry Plaza State Park is a 12-acre waterfront state park in Long Island City with playgrounds, spray pad, sports fields, promenades, and spectacular Manhattan skyline views.
The park is open daily, dawn to dusk, and admission is free.[NY State Parks]

The Tot Lot Playground is designed for younger children, alongside a larger playground with spinning saucers, a giant spiderweb structure, and three jungle gyms with colorful flooring.[TimeOut New York Kids]
Children are required to wear swimsuits at the spray pad, which is only open when a lifeguard is on duty.[NY State Parks]
The park features four public piers (one designated for fishing with its own cleaning table), basketball and handball courts, two off-leash dog runs, picnic areas, and a waterfront esplanade with views of the midtown Manhattan skyline.[NY State Parks]
