Hunter's Point Parks Conservancy
Hunter's Point Parks Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing, activating, and advocating for the parks and waterfront of Long Island City.
Founded in 1998 as 'Friends of Gantry Plaza State Park,' the organization expanded its mission in 2014 to manage both Gantry Plaza State Park and Hunter's Point South Park.[Hunter's Point Parks Conservancy]
The conservancy operates over 200 free community programs annually, including fitness classes, youth activities, community celebrations, and environmental education through the Queens Landing Boathouse and Environmental Center.[Hunter's Point Parks Conservancy]
